Dog Training Consultation (Online)

Class Details

The consultation is the first part of the process. It can last approximately 2 hours as it is very important for me to gather information concerning your needs. It is the opportunity for us to meet and ensure that we are a good match to work together in helping you to reach your goals with your dog(s). It allows me to observe you and your dog in your natural element (your home setting) and present you with a plan of action to help you achieve your goals. I also cover a great deal of basic information concerning Pack Leadership which helps me in assessing how much time we’ll need to get you where you’d like to be by the end of the training process. (This part may be “bonus information” placed somewhere strategically within the site): What should you know about Pack Leadership? It's not “being bossy or physically dominating” your dog. Becoming the leader of your pack means being able to communicate with, guide, praise, and correct your dog(s) appropriately and on time. As you learn to establish pack leadership, you learn to make the rules, set boundaries and limitations with consistent feedback that your dog can relate to, most of which are non-verbal. Dogs are natural born followers and are excellent at reading energy and body language. Most clients are “pleasantly enlightened” with what they learn by way of the consultation process. Should you decide to move forward with me concluding this part of the process, we will tentatively schedule your weekly sessions and get to work!
