6-week Basic Obedience Course

Class Details

We will meet at Police Memorial Park in the open grass area in between the Tennis Courts and the Pickleball Courts. Lesson 1: • Proper introductions of handlers and dogs. • Address problems & concerns for the weeks to come. • Discuss the outline of the program, the plans of action and discuss tools of choice • Discussion of Pack Leadership 101🐶 Lesson 2: • Intro to the basics: Look/watch me, sit & down with boundaries Lesson 3: • Understanding Leash etiquette and putting it to the test! • More with sit & down Lesson 4: • Differentiating Stay! & Wait! • Making sit & down even better! • More leash etiquette with heeling exercises • Bringing in the Recall! Lesson 5: • Refining and fine tuning everything introduced in previous lessons • Look/ Watch me • Sit, down, automatic sits • Stay & wait! • Fine tuning proper leash etiquette with a Pack walk through the park! • Recall exercises made fun! Lesson 6: • Graduation! 🎉🐕🎓🐾 • Testing of all things covered • Refining anything that anyone needs help with! • Celebratory Pack Walk through the pack with surprise guests for added distractions!
